We can’t wait to get a peek at Levi Johnston in the raw. As Sarah Palin began her publicity tour for Going Rogue, Levi took a page from her book and began his own outsider campaign as “player.” The photo preview of Johnson seemed deliberately timed to upstage Palin’s opening salvo of her book tour. But while reviews of Palin talking to Oprah were tepid, Levi was knocking the socks off guys & girls across the web.
Charles Winters at Gay Socialites recapped Levi’s visit to CBS Early Show. “He isn’t the most well-spoken fella, but he’s country. I, for one, can’t wait to see Levi in the buff. “…Prrrrrrrrr.”
During the CBS interview, Johnson reveals that all the ladies go crazy when he visits his momma in jail. (She’s doing time for selling prescription drugs). “It’s just crazy ’cause it’s a big women’s jail and they see me on TV and I go in there and they go nuts. They hold up cougar signs and everything else. It’s hilarious.”
Though reports initially were that Levi would bare it all for Playgirl, the news broke that he’d keep his privates….er, private !
As Steverino Begins at Gawker writes, “Maybe Levi will be like the Betty Grable of our times: a pretty ass to distract our war/recession-weary minds.” As patriots, Levi – - -”Thank you”.
Gay Pin-Up Boy?
Johnston is a man of marginal talent and intelligence who happens to be hot, which is why the gays like him. He’s young, good looking and let’s face it ~ needs the money. He also appeals to that soft spot in most gay men that longs for something authentically masculine, which is why Levi Johnston gets the gay vote. We all know, he’s trade. This is great marketing for him, because, once the world is finished using him to make jokes about Republicans, only the gays will care.
Not Just Playgirl
Other offers to Levi are being reported: Unzipped offered to shoot him in their magazine. Then, Bait & Tackle, (the owner of StraightCollegeMen), has offered Levi $25,000 to do a solo J/O video. Bait & Tackle has even launched a Levi website to prove how serious it is. And finally, Queerty has thrown its hat in the ring with a $50,000 offer for a gay-for-pay video from Mr. Johnston.
There WAS a Hockey Stick Involved
So , now that the first half of Levi Johnston’s Playgirl photo shoot has taken place, do we get to see it all? No one knows. Tank Jones, Levi Johnston’s manager said, ‘The shoot was fantastic!’ adding that the nude model wasn’t nervous in the slightest. ‘We’re having a lot of fun with it,’ Jones teases. And, ahem, how much did Bristol Palin’s hockey-playing ex reveal?
‘People are going to see more of Levi than they thought…There was a hockey stick involved. The fun’s not over, either: a second photo session takes place Friday. Part two is going to be fantastic. That’s all I can say.’”
Playgirl has not given guidance as to an exact release date, but you can expect it to to be the holiday issue.
